Sound Lab upgrade
EMP will upgrade its popular Sound Lab gallery from February 22-March 26. During this time, Sound Lab will be closed while museum staff update software, hardware and instruments. Visitors will continue to experience the museum's other interactive activities including On Stage and Sound and Vision—the museum's collection of filmed oral histories. Several new Sound Lab elements will be available for preview, including The Beamz interactive music system—an innovative instrument for people of all ages and skills to create and play music.

All Access Nights at EMP|SFM
EMP|SFM joins the Seattle tradition of celebrating art and culture by offering free admission from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm on the first Thursday evening of every month. All Access Nights at EMP|SFM feature live music. For more information on All Access Nights at EMP|SFM, call 206.770.2700. Please note: No bags, backpacks, umbrellas or strollers will be allowed in the galleries but these items may be checked at coat check.
